Overview:
This class is designed to guide students through the building of a new nation in US history. It is not meant to be a comprehensive tour of each topic, but an overview with each unit focusing on several essential questions. Students will also work on skills associated with social studies as a part of each content unit. Language arts skills will be integrated into each unit along with connections to science and math topics.

Units of Study
All students started the year learning about the Constitution and the federal government. At the end of the unit, students continued social studies instruction by specific content areas. The Constitution Unit

Total point system Homework = 10-20 pts per assignment Assessments = 50-200 pts Projects = 50-200 pts Current Events = 10 pts Absences It is up to the student to make up the work done in class in a timely manner. |
